Pursuant to Regulation 40 of the Petroleum (Local Content and Local Participation) Regulations, 2013 (L.I 2204) and the Commission’s mandate to promote local content and local participation in the upstream petroleum industry, the Petroleum Commission organized the First Annual Local Content Procurement Conference on Monday, February 19, 2018.

The Conference presented the opportunity for some companies to share:

• Contract and procurement opportunities in the upstream petroleum industry

• 2018 procurement needs

• How to complete tender documents for various types of tenders

This is to ensure that local companies have a clear understanding of opportunities available in 2018 to ensure they are adequately prepared to bid for these contract opportunities.
